The existing situation of the house, built in 1973, was not spacious enough for a family of five. The ground floor was mainly taken up by a small living area, kitchen, and garage, while the upper floor consists of two regular rooms and a small office. In addition to this, the lot size and configuration is significantly limited. The challenge was to enhance the comfort of the house despite the restricted living room and backyard space. The solution involved creating an elevated multifunctional space with abundant natural light, suitable for various activities. Our task was limited to the exterior construction of the building. We have stripped the existing roof and prevented the existing envelope of the house with additional layer of insulation. The new floor is strictly constructed in wooden framed structure and finished in zinc panels.
